ANY PERSON MUST ANSWER FOR HIS DEEDS – GEVORG KOSTANYAN

Any person in Armenia, including Chairman of the Tseghakron (Race
religion) party Shant Harutyunyan, will be held responsible for his
deeds if he is found guilty by court, Prosecutor General of Armenia
Gevorg Kostanyan told reporters on Thursday.
On November 5, 2013, Shant Harutyunyan, with a number of his
supporters, with clubs and rods in their hands, attempted a march
from Yerevan’s Freedom Square to the Armenian president’s residence.
As regards Armenian Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) Karen
Andreasyan’s report on corruption in the country’s judicial system,
Kostanyan noted that any citizen has the right to appeal decisions
by law-enforcers.
“If any phenomenon is claimed to exist, facts must be presented because
actions are taken on facts rather than on phenomena,” Kostanyan said.
