SHAKARIAN: DAVUTOGLU’S VISIT TO YEREVAN CAN BE REGARDED AS SHOW
The Turkish foreign minister’s visit to Yerevan can be regarded as a
show, Artak Shakarian, an expert on Turkey, told reporters today. “By
taking this step, Turkey wants to show its tolerance to the world,”
he said.
In his words, Ahmet Davutoglu’s visit will be discussed by the
international community, regardless of a meeting in Yerevan.
“Even if no meetings take place, Davutogly will declare that a secret
meeting was held,” Shakarian noted.
He proposed broadcasting live the meeting of the foreign ministers
of Armenia and Turkey.
