Karabakh leader appoints new education minister

YEREVAN
The president of the Nagornyy Karabakh Republic [NKR], Arkadiy
Gukasyan, has signed a decree appointing Kamo Atayan as minister of
education, culture and sport.
Before the appointment, Kamo Atayan occupied the post of secretary of
the Council of Rectors of Higher Educational Institutes of Armenia.
The post of minister of education, culture and sport became vacant
after the former minister, Ashot Gulyan, was elected speaker of the
NKR National Assembly.
Kamo Atayan was born in Nagornyy Karabakh in 1950. He was the deputy
minister of education, culture and sport of the NKR in 1995-96.
