MEMORIAL TO ARTSAKH WAR FIGHTERS UNVEILED IN AVETARANOTS VILLAGE

Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan visited today the village
of Avetaranots to attend the unveiling ceremony of a memorial to the
fighters who died in the Artsakh Liberation War.
The President underlined in his speech that we have to always remember
our martyrs’ feat and heroism, do our utmost to realize their wishes
and desires among which free, independent state and its continuous
strengthening is the most sacramental one.
According to President Sahakyan, the memorial should become a place
of pilgrimage to remind of the past, make us proud of our heroes and
thus fill with hope and optimism for the future.
The Artsakh leader presented state awards to a group of the village’s
freedom fighters.
Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church
Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan and other officials were present at
the event, reported the Central Information Department at the Artsakh
President’s Office.
