NO ARMENIANS SUFFERED IN BIG CAR CRASH IN IRAN: PRELIMINARY REPORT
YEREVAN, September 10. /ARKA/. No Armenians suffered in a major car
accident occurred in Iran, the press secretary of Armenian foreign
ministry Tigran Balayan said referring to a preliminary report by
the Armenian embassy in Tehran.
The crash killed at least 44 people, more than 40 were injured.
The accident occurred Monday night on Tehran-Kum highway when two
interurban buses collided, RIA Novosti reported.
According to the preliminary information, one of the buses had a flat
tyre, which made the driver lose control and drive into the oncoming
traffic lane. Both vehicles caught fire.
The circumstances of the incident are still under investigation.-0-
