MAN RECEIVES BRIBE FOR ARRANGING BORDER CHECKPOINT JOB AT YEREVAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

YEREVAN. – Armenian capital city Yerevan resident Hayk Vardanyan was
arrested on Thursday.
It was found out that Vardanyan had demanded and subsequently received
$3,000 to “assist” a citizen in starting a job at the passport control
checkpoint at Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport.
The National Security Service Department of Investigation has opened
a criminal case on charges of fraud.
It also was found out that Vardanyan is actively engaged in preparing
and selling fake visas and passports.
The investigation is in progress.
