June 16 – Memorial Event Dedicated to 20th Anniversary of Monte’s Passing

A memorial event marking the 20th anniversary of the passing of
Armenian national hero Monte Melkonian will take place on Sunday, June
16 at 7pm, at the State Puppet Theatre in Yerevan.
The Monte Melkonian Fund invites the public at large to participate in
this free event entitled, `This isn’t my last struggle’ that will
feature the Karin folk dance ensemble and troubadaor Hayazoun.
Earlier in the afternoon, there will be a silent march to Monte’s
resting place in Yerablour Cemetery.
Those wishing to pay respects to Monte (Avo), are requested to
assemble at the archway entrance to Yerablour at 3:30pm.
