ARMENIA TO TRANSFER IRANIAN PRISONERS TO HOME COUNTRY

The Iranian prosecutor-general has met with 11 Iranian prisoners
serving sentences at the Vardashen Correctional Facility in Yerevan,
ILNA news agency reported on 1 May.

“An agreement was reached with Armenia to transfer seven of the
Iranian prisoners to their native country to serve the rest of their
sentences there,” ILNA quoted Hojjat ol-Eslam Gholam-Hoseyn
Mohseni-Ezhe’i as saying.

Under the agreement with Armenia, 23 Iranian prisoners were
transferred to Iran last year.
