YEREVAN. – Members of the new Government of Armenia will become known
following the capital city Yerevan Council election to be conducted on
May 5. Until then, however, the acting ministers will have to wait,
with their hearts pounding, until whether luck will smile at them a
second time, Irates De Facto newspaper reports.

`According to our information, during this time all [ruling Republican
Party] RPA [ministerial] `stand-ins’ will still actively `pass’ the
elections of their [Yerevan mayoral] candidate, and only after that
will [their] merit over these years be `weighed.’

Incidentally, according to our information, acting Culture Minister
Hasmik Poghosyan definitely will bid farewell to her post,’ Irates De
Facto writes.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
