HRAYR ULUBABYAN CONSIDERS ARMENIAN GENOCIDE IN SUMGAIT ARMENIAN CAUSE ISSUE

YEREVAN, APRIL 22, ARMENPRESS: By a public lecture the publicist
Hrayr Ulubabyan will present his own arguments that Sumgait massacres
should be considered as an important component of the Armenian
Cause. As Armenpress was reported by the Naregatsi Art Institute,
the lecture would take place on April 22 at the Institute under the
title “Armenian Genocide in Sumgait as Armenian Cause issue”.
Hrayr Ulubabyan is a public figure, publicist and a Tumanyan expert.
He is the co-author of “Sumgait… Genocide… Publicity?” book
published in 1989. For many years he was the head of the initiative
group for the protection of the rights of the Armenians massacred
in Sumgait.
The people survived from the Sumgait Genocide provided Hrayr Ulubabyan
with the privilege to protect their rights. In his researches the
publicist got certain that in Sumgait the number of the killed is
more than 100 and not 26-19, as it had been earlier announced.
