SYRIA’S PRESIDENT RATES HIGH DEVOTION OF ARMENIAN COMMUNITY

President of Syria Bashar al-Assad received yesterday a delegation
comprising of representatives of different parties of Lebanon.

According to Lebanese As-Safir paper, among a number of issues, Syria’s
president referred to the ethnic minorities in Syria. Speaking about
the Armenian community, Syria’s president rated high their devotion,
adding that they managed to establish strong ties with the society
and become its full part.

He reminded Armenians’ devotion in the years of civil war in Lebanon,
saying that that time they did not leave Lebanon just like today they
do not leave Syria.

Assad spoke of devotion after Lebanese MP said betrayal has spread
among Syrians.
