The only way for the Armenian people to get rid of Armenian Prime
Minister Tigran Sargsyan is suicide, Gurgen Yeghiazaryan, Leader of the
Social-Democratic Hnchakyan Party, a candidate of the Armenian National
Congress (ANC) for the Elders’ Council of Yerevan, told media, Monday.

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan has reappointed Tigran Sargsyan
to his post of the prime minister, though most political forces and
economists harshly criticized the latter. Foreign Minister Edward
Nalbandian and Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan have been reappointed
as well.

Yeghiazaryan said the president reappointed Tigran Sargsyan
intentionally in order the criticism for the heavy social and economic
situation in the country is addressed to him.

“The Armenian people have no other chance to get rid of Sargsyan and
his ‘fruitful’ activity but to make a mass suicide,” the politician
said. He said that the president’s staff steals funds from the state
budget through public organizations.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
