EDWARD NALBANDIAN: TURKEY DELIBERATELY ATTEMPTS TO LINK ARMENIA-TURKEY NORMALIZATION TO KARABAKH ISSUE

Acting Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian has commented on
recent statements of senior Turkish officials that the Armenia-Turkey
normalization is directly linked to the Karabakh issue.

“The international community repeatedly voiced the position that
Armenia and Turkey should normalize relations without preconditions,
and the mentioned position coincides with the position of Yerevan. Any
attempt to link the Armenia-Turkey normalization to the Karabakh issue
can harm the process. There is an impression that Turkey deliberately
attempts to link the two processes. This hinders the efforts of the
international community and Armenia,” the acting Armenian FM told
reporters on Wednesday.
