INFLATION AT 3.4%
The National Statistics Service reported inflation in the
post-electoral period. According to its data, inflation in March was
at 3.4% compared with the same period last year, while compared with
December last year inflation is 2.9%.
Food prices went up in March by 0.4% compared with February.
Compared with March 2012, prices of grain went up by 10.4%, compared
with February 0.6%; fish 0.2% and 0.7%; dairy products 0.1% and 0.7%,
animal fat and vegetable oil 7.9% and 1.1% respectively.
Fruit prices grew last month by 0.5% compared with March 2012 and by
4.0% compared with last December; eggs 11.6% and 6.0%.
In March 2013, alcohol drinks and tobacco prices went up by 0.3%,
non-alcoholic drinks 0.5%, sugar 0.8%, pastry 1.5%, other products
1.5%.
Note that last week Armenian brandy price significantly went up
as well.
