L’Arménien Arthur Abraham n’a pas réussi à conserver son titre mondial
WBO des super-moyens. Hier soir au Getec-Arena de Magdebourg
(Allemagne) Arthur Abraham défendait son titre mondial face à
l’Allemand Robert Stieglitz. Le 23 août dernier, Arthur Abraham avait
gagné aux points face à Robert Stieglitz. Avant le combat, l’Arménien
était jugé favori. Mais touché durement à l’arcade sourcilière à la 3e
reprise les médecins n’ont pas autorisé Arthur Abraham à reprendre le
combat. Robert Stieglitz était donc déclaré vainqueur et récupérait du
même coup la ceinture mondiale WBO de super-moyens. Arthur Abraham qui
a disputé 40 combats professionnels en reportant 36 (dont 28 avant la
limite) concédait sur blessure la 4e défaite de sa carrière.
