ARMENIANS LIVING IN JAVAKHQ FOR RATIFICATION THE EUROPEAN CHARTER FOR REGIONAL LANGUAGES

Armenians living in Javakhq have demanded the Georgian authorities
to ratify the European Charter for Regional Languages. It had created
collision between president Saakashvili and Prime Minister Ivanishvili.
Saakashvili had announced that ratification of the new charter
threatens the national security and condemned his oppositionists in
supporting Armenian Nationalism.
By the way, Saakashvili was the one to support joining the charter
in 1999, saying that it will make their membership to EU faster.
