EGYPT’S EMBASSY IN ARMENIA SECURES RELEASE OF 5 EGYPTIANS

State Information Service, The Government of Egypt has issued the
following news release:

Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Ambassador Ali
el-Asheri said on Monday 4/3/2013 that the Egyptian Embassy in Armenia
managed to release five Egyptians detained in Georgia for trying to
illegally sneak out of the country.

Egypt has no diplomatic representation in Georgia and manages the
affairs of expatriates there through its embassy in Armenia.
