BUNDESTAG PRESIDENT HAILS ARMENIAN PEACEKEEPERS’ SERVICE IN AFGHANISTAN

PanARMENIAN.Net – Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with the
President of German Bundestag Norbert Lammert in Yerevan on Wednesday,
March 6.
At the meeting, the parties expressed satisfaction over the high
level of Armenian-German ties in the sectors of politics, economy,
scientific-educational and cultural exchange. The importance of active
interparliamentary cooperation was also stressed.
The parties also exchanged views on Armenia-EU ties and Eastern
Partnership program negotiations.
Nalbandian further briefed the Bundestag President on the efforts
of Yerevan and the international community in peaceful settlement of
Karabakh conflict.
Lammert, in turn, gave high assessment to the activity of Armenian
peacekeepers in the work of ISAF mission in Afghanistan.
