AZERBAIJAN FABRICATED LIES ABOUT KHOJALY TO CONCEAL SUMGAITE MASSACRES

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 26, ARMENPRESS. Azerbaijan has fabricated lies about
Khojaly, which are aimed to conceal the Sumgaite massacres. The
President of the Assembly of Azerbaijani Armenians, expert on
Azerbaijan Grigori Ayvazyan stated this during the press conference
held on February 26. In addition he stated that the time has already
come for Azerbaijan to bear responsibility for the genocide policy it
has adopted and compensate the losses of the Azerbaijani Armenians. As
reports “Armenpress” Grigori Ayvazyan noted: “We should voice about
the genocide in Sumgaite. Time to keep silence is over, as we are
left alone with our pain.” In his opinion Azerbaijan recognized its
responsibility for the genocide against the Azerbaijani Armenians in
1988-1990, by releasing and making hero out of murderer Ramil Safarov.
Among other things Grigori Ayvazyan noted: “The Azerbaijani Armenians
paid a big price for the Karabakh movement and Azerbaijan has
fabricated lies about Khojaly, which are aimed to conceal Sumgaite
massacres.” The Assembly of Azerbaijani Armenians has voiced many
times on behalf of recognizing the actions against the Azerbaijani
Armenians as genocide.
