ARMENIA TO HOST EURASIAN YOUTH FORUM IN APRIL

MINSK, 20 February (BelTA) – The Eurasian Youth Forum “A Step Closer”
is due to take place in Yerevan, Armenia, on 26-28 April, BelTA learnt
from the press service of the CIS Youth Union.

“The Eurasian Youth Union “A Step Closer” is aimed at catching the
attention of the young generation on the current political issues
in the former Soviet space, development trends in the society,” the
press service said. Nearly 300 young people are expected to partake
in the forum.

The major goal of the forum is to provide young people with an
opportunity to discuss Eurasian integration prospects. According to the
organizers, the event is set to promote the culture of international
communication. “The Youth Forum is aimed at mobilization of new
intellectual resources for outlining appropriate ways to address
the problems of integration economic development under the Eurasian
integration project,” the press service said. It is expected that
the event will become an annual event and will be hosted by different
CIS countries.
