IRANIAN AMBASSADOR TO AZERBAIJAN: TURKEY SPREADING PAN-TURKISM

Turkey is spreading pan-Turkism, Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan
Mohsen Pak Ayeen told Khabar Online in an interview, the Iranian
embassy’s official website reported.

Referring to the spread of pan-Turkism in Turkey and Azerbaijan,
Mohsen Pak Ayeen said, in part, “Turkey is spreading pan-Turkism.

Turkey behaves like an elder brother to Central Asian countries, but
there is certain difference between the beliefs of people living in
Turkey and Azerbaijan: Turks are Sunnis while Azerbaijanis are Shias.

Pan-Turkists make much efforts to act in Azerbaijan also and sometimes
their propaganda casts doubt on the territorial integrity of other
countries.”
