MINISTER OF DIASPORA AND AGBU LEADERSHIP DISCUSSED SYRIAN ARMENIAN ISSUES

YEREVAN, JANUARY 28, ARMENPRESS: Hranush Hakobyan, Minister of
Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia had a meeting with president of the
Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) Perch Sedrakyan, the head of
Armenian Diocese of Damascus, Vazgen Yakubyan, member of AGBU central
administrative council, AGBU Armenian office Director Arpi Vardanyan.

The sides have touched upon the situation in Syria, issues regarding
Syrian Armenians, dwelled on the settlement of the issues Syrian
Armenians based in Homeland are facing, information and public
relations department of the Ministry informed Armenpress. Armenian
General Benevolent Union(AGBU) president Perch Sedrakyan expressed
readiness to show assistance to the people settled in the Provinces.

Minister Hakobyan high estimated the aid rendered to Syrian Armenians
by AGBU. In the conclusion of the launched meeting the sides
scheduled the discussion of Armenia-Diaspora relations’ development
new approaches.
