The amount of personal money transfers from Russia to CIS countries
in the first nine months of 2012 reached $13,611 billion, which is
12% more than in January-September of 2011, according to the Central
Bank of Armenia. During this period, $877 million was transferred
to Armenia.
In 2011, $16,526 billion was transferred from Russia to CIS countries.
The largest volume of funds transferred from Russia for the first three
quarters of last year was Uzbekistan, $4.36 billion (an increase of 24%
compared to the same period in 2011), followed by Tajikistan, $2.266
billion (13% up), and followed by Ukraine, $2.242 billion (0.4% down).
To Moldova, in January-September 2012, $1.268 billion was transferred;
Kyrgyzstan, $1.165 billion; Armenia, $877 million; Azerbaijan, $736
million; Belarus, $480 million; Kazakhstan, $200 million; Turkmenistan,
$17 million.
