S. OHANIAN: WE WILL ENSURE SAFETY OF FLIGHTS TO ARTSAKH

There is always a likelihood of war and a reason to start a war,
Defense Minister Seyran Ohanian said at the meeting with journalists
today.
According to him, the situation in the region remains tense,
especially as Azerbaijan leaders continue using their bellicose
rhetoric every day.
“There has always been a danger of hostilities. Acts of aggression
are usually planned during a change of seasons, or when an area is
being improved and equipped with amenities. We need to be particularly
vigilant during such periods,” the minister said, adding that to judge
by the current situation, there is little likelihood of war resumption.
The minister also discussed the opening of Stepanakert airport and
Azerbaijan’s provocative actions in this connection.
“I said previously and repeat today: after the final decision is taken,
the air defense of the Armed Forces and the air forces of Armenia
will ensure the safety of civilian flights to and from Artsakh,”
Seyran Ohanian stated.
