CONVICTS OF “VANADZOR” AND “SEVAN” CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTIONS ANNOUNCED HUNGER STRIKE AND SEWED THEIR MOUTHS

The convict of “Vanadzor” Correctional institution Shaliko Manucharyan
on January 14 announced hunger strike and sewed his mouth. As Gor
Ghlechyan, the Acting Head of the Department of Public Relation of
Ministry of Justice informed “Pastinfo.am”, the convict this way
complains against the investigating body.
Shaliko Manucharyan is charged with Article 112 Section 2 Part 9 and
Article 235 Part 1 of RA Criminal Code.
The reason of hunger strike and sewing of the mouth for Kamo Papyan
from “Sevan” Correctional institution is that he demands a meeting
with the RA Ambassador Vyacheslav Kovalenko, Head of the Police
Vladimir Gasparyan and photo-journalist Gagik Shamshyan.
According to Gor Ghlechyan, Kamo Papyan has mental problems.
