YEREVAN.- Armenian brandy remains relatively unknown out of the
CIS area, UK Ambassador to Armenia Katherine Leach told reporters
on Tuesday.
Ambassador said she would like to see more Armenian goods in British
stores as Armenia has much to export, first of all brandy. Although
Churchill loved it, the brandy is little-known out of the CIS area,
she emphasized.
Armenia’s brandy producers union can take certain moves to promote
Armenian production and form image on the markets of Western Europe,
Katherine Leach added.
At the moment Armenian brandy is not exported to UK. Small batches of
strong drinks are exported to France, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic
and Bulgaria.
