ITALY (eTN) – The launch of new flights being part of the strategy of
the development and growth of the international and intercontinental
network are a key part of the new Business Plan of the Alitalia Group.

(FCO) to the new international and intercontinental destinations:
Abu Dhabi (UAE), Fortaleza (Brazil), Yerevan (Armenia), and Prague
(Czech Republic) may already be purchased at the airlines’ website.

The flight to Abu Dhabi will start on December 1, with a frequency
of four times a week, by the new A330 fleet with three new classes
of travel: Classica-Economy, Classica Plus-Premium Economy – the new
class of service dedicated to Economy travelers who want more comfort
and privacy, and Magnifica-Business, with sofa beds and the latest
generation of service level up.

The route to the United Arab Emirates enables travelers to reach
tourist destinations in Australia, Thailand, Oman, Bahrai,n and South
Africa in collaboration with Etihad Airways. YEREVAN, the new link
between Rome and Yerevan, opens on December 11 with two weekly flights:

Rome – Fortaleza will be active from January 14, 2013 on a twice weekly
frequency by Boeing 777. Three classes of service will be provided:
Magnifica (business), Classica Plus (premium economy), and e Classica
(economy class). Fortaleza adds to the destinations of Sao Paulo

to 6 flights per week). To celebrate the launch of the new air link
Italy -Fortaleza, Alitalia is offering specially-priced fares.

According to the number of flights, Alitalia is now ranked as the
number one carrier between Italy and Brazil.

The new link of Rome-FCO – Prague will run from January 29, 2013 with
a frequency of Tuesday and Saturday. The flight will be operated
by an Airbus A320 or A321 aircraft, with two classes of service –
Business and Economy.

New strategies directed to the customers

The present Alitalia Mille Miglia Program expires on December 31,
2012; miles accumulated within that date can be spent up to June 30,
2013. The new initiative of Alitalia will grant the Millemiglia members
a facility: they can swap the accumulated miles into Millemiglia
e-coupons valid for travel around the world by Alitalia.

The e-coupons can be spent from January 1 to December 31, 2013.

And the executive staff involvement

Alitalia investing in their captains is one of the key paths of
innovation and growth of the company, and the company does so with
a management course held by Bocconi University with tutors directly
in the offices of Alitalia.

Eight hundred Commanders of the Alitalia fleet will follow the
courses, articulated in a day and divided into two sessions, until July
2013. The goal will be for them to understand the external environment
in which the company’s strategies take shape and familiarize them with
the different business models. It is assumed that after the course,
the Commanders of Alitalia, already recognized worldwide as the
“Best Performers” for their technical expertise, will use their
newly-acquired managerial skills to perform duty as protagonists
of the company’s business at 360 degrees, specifically aimed at
customer service.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
