Unmanned aerial vehicles prepared by Armenian young people tested in

Six teams that prepared unmanned aerial vehicles have tried their
forces in the ArmRobotics competition.

The experimental flight of the devices took place in the training
airport of Armenia’s town of Arzni.

The goal of the flight was to check the level of preparedness and give
the participants an opportunity to compete and test their devices.

The professional jury was following the works of the participants.
Speaking to reporters, director of Pul (Phase) company Hrach Makaryan
said he highly rates such competitions and assessed the preparedness
level of the participants as more than they have expected.

`During the previous rounds the schemes were studied. During the next
phase the devices will transport 200-300 gm cargo to the demanded
territory,’ he said.

Head of military aviation institute Daniel Balayan said the presented
works were of familiarizing nature. The goal of the competition was
not the creation of unmanned devices but their usage.

`I am sure our activity will be continuative, and we will reach
success in a few years. These devices are not so competitive in
international arena but the ones prepared by the aviation are,’ he
said.

The chief sponsor of the competition is VivaCell company. Its CEO Ralf
Yirikyan said it is necessary to show our neighbors what we can do.
`Companies should assist such programs to help our young people create
more,’ he said, voicing readiness to assist in the implementation of
such programs.
