Syrian army clashes with “terrorists” in Damascus, seizes “US-made” rifles
Syrian TV between 1403 and 1416 gmt on 9 November carries the
following “breaking” news as screen captions: “Units from the Syrian
Armed Forces clash with armed terrorist groups that were perpetrating
acts of killing and sabotage in the Al-Tadamun neighbourhood in
Damascus, eliminate a number of them, and seize their weapons,
including US-made sniper rifles.”
“A unit from our valiant forces tracks down terrorists in Harasta and
eliminates a number of them, seizes their weapons, and destroys a den,
which the terrorists used to plot for their criminal operations.”
“Terrorists fire four mortar shells at the Armenian neighbourhood in
Homs, leading to the martyrdom of a civilian and the wounding of
others.”
