Heritage party has presented a 26-point proposal to the
anti-corruption council sitting today in case of adoption of which the
party representatives voiced readiness to continue working in the
commission, head of the party’s faction Ruben Hakobyan told Tert.am.

`We may participate in the works of the commission if it comes up with
a new format and succeeds in inspiring trust among people,’ he said.

Hakobyan said one of the forwarded proposals is to ensure a
counterbalance and raise the efficiency of the commission through the
involvement of the opposition.

Prosperous Armenia party has already stated that it will not
participate in the council’s sitting as the government has waived its
proposal to discuss the issue of lectures costing 16.6 million US
dollars.

Armenian National Congress opposition bloc stated that the corrupted
people cannot fight against themselves and refused to attend the
sitting.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
