ARMENIAN AND GEORGIAN MIGRANTS HOLD HUNGER STRIKE IN POLAND

PRAGUE. – Migrants in Poland, who are expecting their status of refugee
to be issued, are holding a hunger strike in special camps near the
border with Belarus. At first about 70 people declared of holding a
hunger strike, while later another group of 30 people joined them,
Russian Polish Radio service informs. As a matter of fact, mainly
citizens of Armenia and Georgia are among group of people holding
the hunger strike in Poland.

In addition, all the migrants are protesting against the conditions
in which they are kept and claim it is like being in prison, while
they have committed no crime.

In the last 20 years the number of migrants has increased by 10 times,
NewsBalt informs. If the number of migrants was about 1,700 people
in 1990s, in 2010 they made 15,200.
