YEREVAN. – A considerable part of Armenia’s oligarchs is very
“depressed” in recent periods, Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun (CI)
daily reports.
“Many of them are worried that the ruling authorities are unable to
maintain the ‘rules of the game,’ [and] as a result, the businessmen
are getting more entangled in domestic political processes and
emerging scenarios.
Several businessman MPs are severely complaining that very often their
‘bosses’ likewise are not honest in their observations and evaluations,
which confuses them. And with an expectation to get out of this
confusion, some well-known faces from the country’s oligarchy did
not miss the opportunity, during a recent event, to be enlightened by
[the ruling Republican Party] RPA Vice Chairman Razmik Zohrabyan as
to the changes and surprises that will be made towards the year 2013
[that is, when the country’s presidential elections will be held].
But, as CI has learned, the conversation was unsuccessful because
Zohrabyan himself likewise did not have much to say,” Chorrord
