PanARMENIAN.Net – The dean of Yerevan State University (YSU) faculty of
history has believed the decision of the Armenian National Committee
of America (ANCA) not to back any of the U.S. presidential candidates
a sobering step.
Meanwhile, Edik Minasyan noted that the neutral stance won’t benefit
Armenians.
“None of the presidential candidates kept the election promise to
utter the word “genocide”,” he said, suggesting Armenia take practical
steps and bring its claims before international courts.
Earlier, ANCA announced that neither President Barack Obama (D) nor
former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney (R) has earned the Armenian
American community’s formal backing heading into the November 6th
presidential election.
