Another serviceman dies following Armenian Defense Ministry vehicle accident

YEREVAN. – Private Harutyun Kirakosyan, who was critically injured as
a result of Monday’s road accident, died Thursday at 9:25pm, MOD
Investigation Department Public Relations Senior Officer Meri Sargsyan
told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Kirakosyan was 20 years old, and he was transferred to MOD Central
Clinical Military Hospital after the accident.
As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, a GAZ 33081-model truck
belonging to an Armenian Defense Ministry military unit went off road
and rolled over at Aruch-Nor Amanos road in Aragatsotn Region, on
Monday at around 4:30pm. As a result, Private Gor Galstyan, 19, died
and other military servicemen sustained injuries.
All injured soldiers were initially transferred to capital city
Yerevan’s `Armenia’ Medical Center and, subsequently, to MOD Central
Clinical Military Hospital. Gor Galstyan, however, did not regain
consciousness at `Armenia’ Medical Center, where he died on Tuesday at
12:20am.
MOD Investigation Department has launched a criminal lawsuit into this
incident, and a respective investigation is underway.
