BAKU.AM WEBSITE HAS SERIOUS IMPACT ON AZERBAIJANIS: HAYK DEMOYAN

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 11, ARMENPRESS: unique website on four
languages, Armenian, Russian, English, Azerbaijani , covering Baku
Armenians community social, cultural and business life left a shocking
effect on Azerbaijani readers. In the briefing with Armenpress,
Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute director Hayk Demoyan stated the
Institute receives letters with hate forwarded from Azerbaijan. ” There
are letters sent by Turkey, yet they are more involved in the theme and
come forth with inquisitive stances. The letters from Azerbaijan are
innumerous” Demoyan noted. According to the interlocutor Azerbaijani
readers get furious finding out Armenians have share everywhere. ”
The website completely changes the perception of city’s map. When an
Azerbaijani opens the website and sees the architect of this or that
building is of Armenian origin, links the perception with
” Demoyan stated. Baku in the words of the interlocutor bears Armenian
traces. The interlocutors have to reckon with the fact after getting
acquainted with the site.

Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute launched website on
February 23, 2011. Initially the website was trilingual, further on
the website got Azerbaijani version. The section entitled ” Armenians
in Baku” presents the story of Armenians residing in Baku.
