Our men’s team held another victory in the 9th round of the World
Chess Olympiad ongoing in Istanbul. They had a 2.5/1.5 win over the
German team.
After Vladimir Hakobyan’s and Levon Aronyan’s victories, Sergey
Movsisyan ended in a draw and Gabriel Sargsyan lost, playing black.
This important victory of our team is joyous, but, unfortunately it
doesn’t bring us closer to the gold medal. China, which is one of
the main rivals, held a victory over Philippine’s team.
