YEREVAN, AUGUST 20, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Greco-Roman style wrestlers
young team will take part in European Cup Tournament set to take
place in October . Greco-Roman National wrestling chief coach
,Armenia and Olympic champion Levon Julfalakyan told a press
conference on August 20 .
`It is not the first time that Armenian wrestlers have held the first
three places midst world best teams. We intend to keep this tradition.
Talented athletes of new generation have already grown up, for
instance European champion, Olympic bronze medalist ,world youth
champion, 96 kg Arthur Alexanyan,’ said Julfalakyan, Armenpress
reports.
According to him great hopes are cherished with young athletes.
Armenian Greco-Roman style wrestlers 55 kg Roman Amoyan and 120 kg
Yuri Patrikeyev can also continue their performances, only if they
maintain good form’.
Julfalakyan also informed that the national wrestling championship of
Armenia is scheduled to take place in the coming future. Armenian
wrestlers take part in 10-12 international competitions and events
every year.
