Armenian brandy in great demand in the international market: export increases

YEREVAN, AUGUST 18, ARMENRESS: Armenian brandy is one of Armenian
products that has large export volumes, its level of demand in the
international market is rather large. During the recent years both its
production and export volumes have significantly increased.
The National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia classifies
brandy export volumes within vodka, rome and jin category.
As the servicee told Armenpress, if ten years before 8133 tons of
vodka, rome and jin was exported, yet in the first half of this year
Armenia recorded 21 038 ton export. Drawing a parallel with the same
period of the previous year 12 271 tons was exported, 32 558 during
the entire year, the total value amounts 131.2 million dollars.
World brandy market’s two percent is covered by Armenian legendary
brandy . Yerevan Brandy Factory by its `’Ararat”, `’Ani”,
`’Akhtamar”, `’Tonakan”, `’Nairi” , `’Yntir” production. Armenian
brandy largest market however remains Russian Federation: Ukraine and
the European countries follow it.
Yerevan Ararat Brandy Wine Vodka Factory exports large quantities of
cognac .The product has great demand in the Russian Federation, the
Ukraine, Belarus, Germany, the United States, China. As company
informed Armenpress, all products aged 3-25 year have commensurate
demand both in domestic and foreign market.
Despite the best traditions of wine and brandy the statistics show
vodka is most consumed among alcoholic beverages, wine and cognac come
after it.
