US DOLLAR SETS NEW RECORD IN ARMENIA

On Friday, the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) set the USD exchange rate,
AMD 406.67/US $1 against AMD 402.68/US $1.
According to rate.am, as of 5:00pm, Armenia’s commercial banks
purchased US dollars at an exchange rate of AMD 404/US $1 and sold
at an exchange rate of AMD 408/US $1.
May 21 to 25, NASDAQ OMX Armenia effected US $33,160,000 worth
transactions, the average exchange rate being AMD 404.03/US $1.
Armenia’s banks purchased US $74,164,898 at an average exchange rate of
AMD 400.9/US $1. Sales totaled US $101,629,968 at an average exchange
of AMD 402.41/US $1.
