Georgian and Azerbaijani presidents meet in Chicago

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met on Saturday Georgian leader
Mikheil Saakashvili in Chicago, the USA, where they are attending a
NATO summit.

According to Azerbaijani Trend news agency, the two presidents praised
the development of the Azerbaijan-Georgia relations in a variety of
fields. They exchanged views on prospects for developing the
cooperation between the two countries.

The relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia have been harmed because
of David Gareja monastery complex situated on the border between the
two countries.

Speaking to reporters though, spokesman for the Azerbaijani foreign
ministry Elman Abdulayev stated that there is no dispute between
Azerbaijan and Georgia.

`The issues connected with monastery will be discussed at a set up
task group,’ he said.
