GYUMRY, MAY 19, ARMENPRESS: Within the framework of “Museum Night”
event Gyumri folk architecture and urban lifestyle museum will
demonstrate its visitors the exhibition entitled ” Alexandropol press
in the beginning of the 20 th century”.
Apinyan museum fund collection will also be on disposal of the
exhibition. Printing work in Alexandr opol dates 1876 simultaneously
with the activity of the first printing house. It is remarkable
that not only Armenian and Russian books, but anthologies, literary
magazines and weekly newspapers were published there, Armenpress
reports.
“Akhurean” newspaper stands out among the exhibit materials; the
articles published there hardly vary the modern mass media issues.
