NA DEPUTY SPEAKER EDUARD SHARMAZANOV CONGRATULATES THE 15-YEAR OLD KANON PLAYER NAREK KAZAZYAN

17.05.2012

On May 17 the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Eduard
Sharmazanov met with the 15-year old kanon player Narek Kazazyan,
who took the 3rd prize in the Eurovision Young Musicians Contest, at
the 16th Vienna International Television Music Contest and his mother.

Ediuard Sharmazanov congratulated Narek for taking the honourable 3rd
place, as well as enjoying the viewer’s and listener’s great sympathy.

To the NA Deputy Speaker’s assessment, it is obvious that the young
kanon player’s successes are conditioned by his music skill, devotion
and consistent work, but, of course, in Narek’s music maturity
the environment, the parents and the teacher have played big role,
directing and inspiring him.

Eduard Sharmazanov has ensured those present that the Armenian
statehood treats with care and focuses on Narek and gifted young
people like him, as they are the pride of the society, and everybody’s
victory from them is Armenia’s victory, and the powerful culture is
the pledge of the firmness and continuity of our country.

Narek Kazazyan has thanked for warm words, noting that it is double
joyful, when he enjoys such assessment and attention also in his
country.

The NA Deputy Speaker inspired Narek, expressed readiness to support
and assist him, wishing him new successes.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
