ARFD: FUNCTIONARIES – IS THE MAIN POLITICAL FORCE OF ARMENIA

Functionaries – is the main political force of Armenia, the head
ARF Dashnaktiutyun parliamentary faction, Vahan Hovannisyan, said at
today’s meeting with representatives of business circles of Armenia.

He said that Armenian functionaries hide under the cover of different
political forces of Armenia and indirectly rule the country. “Earlier
they were members of Armenian Pan-National Movement, today they
are members of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia and its
coalition partners”, – he said. He also added that the Armenian
authorities develop artificial obstacles on the way of the economy
development. He thinks that Armenians living in abroad have started
making less investments in Armenia because of the authorities of
the country. “If earlier our compatriots were doing business in
our country stemming from the patriotic ideas, and were not so much
interested in the size of benefit, today they are disappointed with
the authorities and their economic policy”, – he said and added that
ARFD is the only political force able to attract foreign investments,
provide competition and create job place with high salary.

He said that citizens of Armenia living in abroad do not have an
opportunity to vote at the forthcoming parliamentary election. This is
an obstacle on the way of the legal country establishment. “The present
authorities understand very well that if these citizens participate
in the parliamentary election, they will lose an opportunity to vote
instead of them. In its turn, this will result in defeat of the ruling
parties, as these citizens will not vote for the parties which deceived
the people of Armenia many times”, – Hovannisyan said.
