On 17 April President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan convoked
a working consultation on the issues of road construction.

As informs Central Information Department Of The Office Of The Artsakh
Republic President, corresponding reports were delivered by heads of
large road construction companies operating in the republic.

President Sahakyan qualified road construction as one of the most
important fields of the country’s economy, underlining that of
late years the volume of road construction in the republic has
drastically increased. At the same time the Head of the State noted
serious problems with the quality of constructed roads which cast
a negative impact on the development of the sphere. Within this
context Bako Sahakyan considered important technical re-equipment,

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
