Armenia should push forward the issue of country’s security and
recognition of NKR’s independence in parallel with Armenian Genocide
recognition, political scientist Levon Shirinyan told a news conference
in Yerevan.
According to him, Turks’ apology will be of no value unless it is
linked to return of the territories and compensation.
“We need to adopt an exact strategy,” the expert stressed.
The process of Turkish recognition of the Armenian Genocide has not
undergone any content change, but it has changed formally, Shirinyan
said. At the same time, he noted that Turks have not changed.
“If Turks do not say that they should give back to Armenians their
lost country, it means they are lying.”
