YEREVAN, MARCH 20, ARMENPRESS: On March 20 in the National Assembly
Green Hall the exhibition of the works of the gobelin maker-painter
Marina Mamyan opened.

Marina Mamyan, who creates works in the sphere of decorative-applied
art, is a member of the Armenian Painters” Union, the Painters”
International Federation and the Russian Painters” Creative Union.

She had personal exhibitions in Armenia and in a number of other
countries, took part in different exhibitions, National Assembly”s
press service told Armenpress.

In the Green Hall of the parliament the works of the last six years
of the gobelin maker-painter were shown, the main virtue of which, as
art historian Ruzan Saryan, Director of Martiros Saryan”s House Museum
has noted, is the inner light and the philosophy of world perception.

According to the art historian, Marina Mamyan”s art is a unique
combination of poetry and fine arts, where she expresses her special
perception of spatial objects, as well as the phenomena of nature,
astonishes with specification of colour, lines and nuances – and all
that with simple threads.

The Speaker of the Parliament Samvel Nikoyan, NA deputies attended
the opening of the exhibition.

The painter addressed her words of acknowledgement to the Armeia”s
National Assembly and the NA Speaker Samvel Nikoyan for the exhibition
of her works in the higher legislative body and expressed hope that
the positive energy and light stored in the paintings created by the
dictate of heart and soul will give good mood and will a little move
us from everyday problems.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
