Armenia’s judoists unsuccessfully start World Cup

TBILISI. – Armenia’s national team is also participating in the 2012
World Judo Cup, which kicked off in the Georgian capital on Saturday.
In the first round of the 60-kg-category, Davit Lazarian lost to the
representative of Ukraine, but Armenian, Gevorg Khachatryan, and
Grigor Ivanyan was defeated by his Kazakh opponent.
Solely Artur Vardanyan registered a first-round victory, against his
Georgian challenger, but he was beaten by his Latvian opponent in the
second round.
And in the first round of the 66-kg-category, Tigran Varosyan was
defeated by the Cypriot judoist, Paylak Vardazaryan was beaten by his
Ukrainian challenger, and Artur Yeranosyan lost to the representative
of Ukraine, but Armenian, Gevorg Gevorgyan.
