The Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations in France welcomed
the adoption of the bill criminalizing the denial of genocides,
which has been acknowledged by the law adopted by the French Senate
on Monday. This is stated in the council’s statement which has been
posted on the website of Nouvelles d’Armenie.
“With relief, pride and appreciation the Coordination Council of
Armenian Organizations in France and all the Frenchmen who showed
sympathy towards the fight against the refusal of the genocide
celebrate this victory and thank the French president, the government,
the MPs from both right and left groups for keeping their promise.
The Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations in France
acknowledges new responsibilities which it owes to France – unity,
solidarity and development,” reads the statement.
