IRAN, ARMENIA DEVELOPING RELATIONS

TEHRAN (FNA)- Relations between Iran and Armenia continued to develop
in 2011, said a report by the Armenian foreign office.

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan visited Iran at the invitation of
his counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in March, says the 2011 report
issued by the Armenian foreign office.

For his turn, the Islamic Republic president paid a visit to Armenia
in December to meet with his Armenian counterpart, Premier Tigran
Sargsyana and Speaker Samvel Nikoyan. Six documents were signed as
a result of the visit.

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian came to Ian in September,
while his Iranian counterpart Ali Akbar Salehi visited Armenia in
November.

The year was also marked by the 10th Iranian-Armenian
inter-governmental committee meeting.
