INDIVIDUALS IN ARMENIA RECEIVE SOME $1.5 BILLION IN JAN-NOV 2011

The bank system of Armenia received $1.380 billion of transfers for
individuals in January-November 2011. The sum exceeds figures of
the same period in 2010 by 23.1%. Private transfers in November 2011
totaled $142.5 million, cropping by 2.2%, compared with the previous
month, PanARMENIAN reports.
Armenia increased transfers abroad by 20.1%, totaling $238.4 million,
compared with $198.5 million in January-November 2010. Private flow
of transfers in January-November increased by 21%, reaching $1.142
billion, compared with $943.8 million in the same period of 2010.
The highest level of transfers came from Russia, totaling $1.028
billion, followed by the US – $40.5 million, Kazakhstan – $16.9
million, Ukraine – $8.2 million.
